The study is geared to tackling the increasing environmental crime rate not only in the area of offences but also of minor environmental offences. A decisive aspect of the programme is a balanced overview of the nature of environmental problems in the whole range of issues as well as knowledge of forensic and criminalistic methods at the engineering, technical, biological, and ecological levels. Graduates of the Bachelor´s study programme of Forensic and Criminalistic Environmental Sciences are able to use the basic theoretical knowledge of the branch of study, they have knowledge of safety concerning chemical and related technologies, the risks of working with chemical substances, waste management, they can summarize environmental problems for assessing the impact of technologies on the environment. They are able to provide the qualified data to investigate environmental offences and minor offences, to solve simple projects in the field of nature conservation and environmental quality assessment, to manage risk analyses and crisis situations, they can orientate themselves to the problems of criminalistics. They can work as managers, developers, technologists or forensic experts when assessing the environmental impacts of manufactures and human impacts on the environment, including criminality.
The study program (exercises and lectures) is taught only in the Slovak language.
