Based on integrating the knowledge of biotic and abiotic components of the environment and the knowledge of general ecology and social sciences, graduates of the Bachelor´s degree study programme of Landscape Use and Protection can apply the basic ecological principles in the area of landscape ecology, the ecology of an individual, communities and populations, ecology agricultural, forest, and urban ecosystems, the protection and exploitation of renewable and non-renewable natural resources, biodiversity, and nature conservation, rational management, land use and landscape forming. The graduate is competent to carry out professional activities at a lower managerial level of state administration and local self-government, environmental organizations, nature conservation (management of protected areas), in the economic spheres requiring professional qualifications with a focus on landscape, the environment or using the GIS, but also in non-governmental organizations aimed at the environment or landscape protection.
The study program (exercises and lectures) is taught only in the Slovak language.
